Procedure Fees

For all privately insured patients, Dr Desmond and his anaesthetist on the day of the procedure will directly bill the health fund - with no out of pocket expenses to the patient. All pathology will be billed directly to your health fund.

If the patient has an excess with their health fund, this amount will be advised by the hospital, we do not have any control over this.

For procedures undertaken at Glen Iris Private (GIP), please contact the facility directly to enquire about any facility fees (contact GIP directly on 88082311 for quote).

Fees for iron infusions

Iron infusions may be undertaken with endoscopies or in the Day Oncology Unit ($205 hospital out of pocket cost currently not covered by Health insurance payable on the day of the infusion). Iron infusions at Glen Iris Private need a prescription to be filled prior and the iron brought to Glen Iris Private.
